We love this highchair. The color was great. From the reviews I have read (the not so good ones) we decided to get it anyway. I love the fact that it does adjust to multiple heights and that it reclines. It does sit upright at the tray for easy feeding. As for food on the cover a simple washcloth can wipe it clean after a meal. (like the vinyl seats) It does have a reversable chair cover so you can have ruffle or no ruffle. The tray stores nice on the back of the chair, you can't recline the chair all the way if the tray is there though. But you can recline it to position 3 which seams reclined enough. The dishwasher safe tray snaps on and is securely there. (food won't go flying). The one concern with other reviews that we had, was the child learning to kick the tray off. Well that problem has been resolved. Our chair came with a guard on the tray handle, so little feet can't push it.I love the 5 point harness which you can also use as a 3 point harness if you choose. And it all folds compactly that we have folded it up and fits nice in the back of the trunk for portability when we go to family get togethers.
User rating: 5Baby Trend has resolved the latch issue....
We recently purchased the Tahoe print Trend chair for our 11 month old. It would be impossible for a baby to unlatch it with their feet, there is a guard in front of it (on the baby's side).
I could see that the tray might be a bit high (our daughter is tall so it's not an issue for her). If that's the case with our next baby, I'd just adjust the height to table level & pull the baby to the table to eat until the tray was the right height. Or boost the baby up. Not a big issue.
The footrest has a sealed hinge now.
Our daughter is a messy eater and the chair cleans easily.
Much better, safer and easier than the Graco piece of junk we had before.
All straps get dirty, especially if they're in a highchair. It's a fact of life. Our last ones were white, that was much worse.
Vinyl's not all it's cracked up to be either. It's hot, full of crevasses, sticks to skin, not machine washable, and falls apart. We got rid of our vinyl Grace b/c of that. if you really want just a vinyl cover, why couldn't you just remove the cloth and use the underpadding? Not attractive, but you could put the cloth on inbetween meals.
The top tray fits in my dishwasher. I don't know if I have a big dishwasher either, it seems average to me.
The baby LOVES this chair. To me, that's wonderful. I like being able to roll her around if I need to.
User rating: 5Wonderful High Chair for Neat Eaters!
I love this highchair! I have recommended it to my friends and I would recommend it to you! The wheels are wonderful (although they do lock up sometimes and my son has fun locking them when he's playing!). The chair pad is great! My son is a neat eater and I have only had to flip the chair pad once (because it's REVERSIBLE!) and then I washed it once too. The vinyl under pad removes so you can clean the plastic chair base. The chair pad dried in about 2 hours (easily washed after a meal and dried before the next meal!). This highchair is wonderful! The straps are great too (they keep little squirmers in!). The height adjustment is great too for when we feed him at a different table! Enjoy this highchair!
